Tramite Twitter sono venuta a sapere di un altro progetto dedicato al nostro bassista preferito... c'è una ragazza che sta preparando uno scrapbook per Matthew... potete mandargli foto di Matthew live, foto con Matthew se ne avete, lettere, disegni, insomma, qualunque cosa abbiate (non mi ha parlato di video, se volete chiederglielo, vedete la mail di seguito).

Un piccolo aggiornamento
Salve!
Come immagino avrete notato, c'è stato qualche piccolo cambiamento nel layout...per il momento ho aggiunto una galleria fotografica, un player con quattro canzoni dei Madina Lake (scusa l'autoplay, so che può essere noioso, ma in questo modo chi non conoscesse la band può ascoltare direttamente), il widget con i progressi della raccolta fondi per Matthew e una serie di link...il sito è comunque in continua evoluzione, in particolar modo ora che siamo agli inizi, quindi siate pazienti se vedete cose strane, work in progress!
Anche il forum ha avuto qualche piccolo cambiamento...sono finalmente riuscita ad inserire l'icon nella barra degli indirizzi, così ora siamo personalizzati anche lì, poi ho pensato di rinnovare la tabella, inserendo anche lì il player e riordinando un po' i vari link...
Spero che queste modifiche siano utili, come sempre mi farebbe molto piacere sapere cosa ne pensate!
Parlando della band, questo weekend si è svolto lo show di beneficienza per Matthew, organizzato da Through The Pain (www.twitter.com/throughthepain), per il momento nessuna notizia, non appena so qualcosa, state certi che sarete i primi a saperlo!

Aggiornamento da Nathan

just wanted to check in with you guys.. we’ve been on a mission to get things back to “normal” for weeks. pushing ahead with Madina while whipping Matthew back into shape. Unfortunately he ended up back in the ER yesterday with a ruptured wisdom tooth. These are the types of things we’re going to be dealing with for the next year.. Injuries of this magnitude do all kinds of things to the body and one of them was shaking loose a wisdom tooth and having his immune system fighting so many things, it’s bound to fail from time to time. However, we’re getting through it and are ecstatic of the notion that just maybe one day things will be back to normal.
The alleged suspect has been formally charged with Attempted First Degree Murder, Aggravated Battery Causing Serious Bodily Harm and Aggravated Battery in a Public Place. More on that in time but focusing on the positive ..The “Through The Pain” benefit shows start tonight. It’s a grandiose display of Chicago’s integrity, loyalty, compassion and strength and we’re so effing lucky to have such amazing people in our lives. After these shows we’re going to be releasing a new song from our forthcoming record “Word War III”. We’d been demoing tracks for the record and Matthew recorded bass on this song the day before the incident. He was the last to record on it which is kind of strange because lately we’ve been tracking guitar and vox first, drums & bass last.. lyrically, the song is oddly premonicious (which is a word i think i just made up lol).. anyhow, we’re very proud of it and can’t wait to share.. details of it’s release will be determined this week so stay tuned..
as always, thank you again for everything.. we’re putting madina back together and the EP and WW3 are just around the corner which will begin a brand new chapter in our lives, band and perspective. There’s an old adage I try to live by which says “you are who you are and where you are because of the dominating thoughts that you allow to occupy your mind” .. so let them be positive, optimistic and inspiring thoughts.. crush the rest of em..

Aggressione a Matthew
Allora...mi sembra inutile ripubblicare tutto quello che è uscito nell'ultimo mese, per cui riassumerò brevemente la situazione per chi non ne fosse a conoscenza e pubblicherò solo l'ultimo aggiornamento (per la cronologia completa potete leggere questo topic sul forum)...
Il mese scorso il bassista della band, Matthew Leone, è intervenuto in una lite fra marito e moglie, nel corso del quale la donna veniva picchiata, ed è stato picchiato e lasciato senza sensi per strada dal marito.
I medici hanno dovuto rimuovere un terzo della scatola cranica per permettere al cervello di guarire e successivamente ha subito un intervento per riapplicare le ossa asportate.
Sfortunatamente, al momento dell'aggressione Matthew non aveva rinnovato l'assicurazione sanitaria, ciò significa che dovrebbe sostenere di tasca sua tutte le spese dell'intervento.
Ora, so che l'idea è quella che le rockstar siano piene di soldi, ma sfortunatamente non è sempre così e questo è uno di quei casi, le spese da sostenere sono veramente considerevoli (si vocifera attorno al mezzo milione di dollari), quindi sono state indette varie iniziative, fra cui una raccolta fondi e una serie di concerti di beneficienza.

yes i saw pure evil, which took over a weak, hollow soul and i encountered it.
also yes, the beauty of humanity destroyed this evil, in an overwhelming capacity.
the world turned this dark spot into a brilliant and radiant display of humanity, love and light…to the point where the darkness withered away into non existence.
all i did was act as the conduit. it was YOU, who showed this entity that it doesn’t stand a chance in this world. thank you all so much from the bottom, middle and top of my heart.
you saved me and you made the world better.
i’m not fully there yet. i’m not even close. i’ve got a bit of a mountain to climb. i face challenges that there is no use in sharing because we focus on the positive here. i can walk and i can talk and i know who i am…those 3 things have put me ahead of what is expected right now. i’m about to pick up a bass for the first time and for these simple treasures, i am very grateful, lucky and happy.
as my energy level increases, i will fill in the holes, and describe with deeper detail what has happened. i’ll keep everyone posted about my progress.
“thank you” is the only expression that comes close to what i want to say to you guys. take that, multiply it by what you think is the highest number in the world, and then you’ll be close to understanding how i feel.
i love you guys with every ounce of my being.

Apriamo ufficialmente questo blog italiano dedicato ai Madina Lake, che si aggiunge ad un forum (http://madinalakeitaly.forumcommunity.net/) e ad una pagina Twitter (http://www.twitter.com/madinalakeitaly).... pubblicheremo qui tutte le notizie più importanti riguardo ai Madina Lake, le foto, le interviste.... l'obiettivo è far conoscere questa band in Italia, dato che al momento siamo davvero in pochi ed è un vero peccato.... obiettivo ambizioso? Forse....ma non per questo demorderemo!!!
